What Sets Ascend Apart

What Sets Ascend Apart

At Ascend ABA Therapy, our individualized therapy approach is designed to meet the unique needs of each child, ensuring that every intervention is tailored to support their specific developmental goals. Our team of dedicated and highly-qualified therapists brings a wealth of expertise and a deep commitment to fostering growth and positive outcomes. We believe that family involvement is key to a child’s success, which is why we offer monthly parent training sessions to equip families with practical strategies and insights that reinforce progress at home. Additionally, our open-door policy promotes transparency and open communication, creating a collaborative environment where parents feel supported and engaged in their child’s therapeutic journey. Through this comprehensive approach, Ascend ABA Therapy is committed to achieving meaningful progress not just for the child, but for the entire family.

The Path Forward

We are committed to guiding families through a seamless and supportive process. It all starts with verifying your insurance benefits to ensure clarity and ease. Next, we conduct comprehensive assessments to understand your child’s unique strengths and needs. Based on these insights, we collaborate with you during a treatment plan meeting to develop personalized goals and strategies. With the plan in place, it’s time to set sail on your child’s therapy journey, working together to foster growth and meaningful progress.

Early Intensive Behavior Intervention (EIBI)

This program consists of a comprehensive approach that includes evidence based strategies such as Early Start Denver Model, Naturalistic Teaching, and Discrete Trial Training with 20-30 hours per week of 1:1 ABA therapy within a center setting. Each child is individually assessed to identify the best approach for therapy prior to beginning therapy. Research shows that the children who are diagnosed with autism can make significant gains in global functioning including IQ, adaptive skills, communication, and social functioning when therapy begins early.

Early Intensive Behavior Intervention (EIBI)

This program consists of a comprehensive approach that includes evidence-based strategies such as the Ages and Stages Questionnaires, Second and Third Editions (ASQ-2 and ASQ-3), as well as Discrete Trial Training. Therapy is provided through 1:1 ABA sessions, ranging from 2 to 40 hours per week, in a center-based setting. Each child undergoes an individualized assessment to determine the most effective therapy approach before starting services. Research demonstrates that children diagnosed with autism can achieve significant gains in global functioning, including improvements in IQ, adaptive skills, communication, and social functioning, especially when ABA therapy is initiated early.

School Advocacy

Ascend can provide ARD advocacy by meeting with parents to review IEPs. We believe that therapy does not replace school, and through thoughtful collaboration between schools, parents, and therapists, all children can benefit from the basic right of an education.

Parent Training

Watching your child struggle with communication or behavior challenges can be frustrating, but figuring out how to help your child while meeting the needs of your entire family can be even more daunting. Through our individualized and continuous parent training, we can help you understand the function of your child’s behavior and equip you with practical strategies that can be used long after your child’s therapist has left.
